Question 1

What's included in the free trial?

Accepted Answer

Lite starts with a 7-day free trial and 50 credits, enough to try Ember on a full set of shortform reels. Pro and Max are paid plans and start charging when you subscribe. Payment details are collected at checkout, but you won't be charged until the trial ends. Unless you cancel before then, the trial converts to a paid Lite subscription that renews automatically at the price shown for your billing period (monthly, every 3 months or yearly), VAT included where applicable, until you cancel.

Question 2

Will I be charged during the free trial?

Accepted Answer

No. Payment details are collected at checkout so the switch to your selected plan is seamless, but you won't be charged until the 7-day trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged; if you don't, the first payment is taken when the trial ends and the plan then renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Billing on your account page.

Question 3

How do I start using Ember after starting a trial?

Accepted Answer

Choose Lite and complete checkout, then open the desktop app and approve sign-in in your browser. Your trial credits are available as soon as your account is connected.

Question 4

How are credits calculated?

Accepted Answer

1 credit equals 1 minute of processed audio. Your balance is based on the audio length you process.

Question 5

Where do I check my remaining credits?

Accepted Answer

Open the Account page to see the credits tied to your subscription, including total, included, and top-up balance.

Question 6

Can I use it if I don't have DaVinci Resolve Studio?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ember works perfectly fine on the free version of DaVinci Resolve with full capability, including our custom Camera3D Sequences. DaVinci Resolve Studio is not required.
